Now it’s our turn. As we enter our 36th year, we’re delighted to announce that The Frameworks is an Employee Ownership Trust.
I’ve been a Frameworker for 20 years and, like most businesses, we’ve changed a lot in that time. This feels like our most natural move yet. People have always been the beating heart of The Frameworks; they're our source of strength and our reason for being.
From cutting-edge strategy to traffic-stopping creative, we know we deliver our best work for clients when we all feel valued and supported. We’re proud of our collaborative culture and we’ve always maintained that great ideas can come from any corner of the business.
When individuals can share in our collective success, we all thrive.
Our founder, Terry Brissenden, remains very much present. But after a huge amount of research and reflection on the future of the business, Terry and the rest of the board chose to appoint an Employee Ownership Trust to protect The Frameworks’ values and ensure its independence as we take on the challenges of the next 35 years. We’re excited about what that means for both Frameworkers and clients.
We’ve watched with interest as employee ownership has gathered momentum in the wider market; 1,756 UK companies were listed as Employee Ownership Trusts in 2024, up 27% on the previous year.
We’re thrilled to be joining them. Employee ownership can bring measurable benefits including increased productivity and higher morale. Employee-owned businesses regularly outperform their peers: they’re 8-12% more productive and invest more in their people, innovation and communities.
This matters to us from a business perspective. We also know how important culture is to employee happiness.
As Frameworkers increase our stake in the agency’s growth, our day-to-day experience will be more fulfilling. Each one of us will take charge of our destiny and decisions, contribute to an evolving challenge, and collaborate more closely with colleagues around a shared purpose. Because no one is better qualified to steer this ship than the teams delivering the goods day in, day out.
